🚨 Severity: MEDIUM
💡 Vulnerability: Log Injection (CRLF) in the exception handler of the
__main__block. The exception message fromipaddress.ip_addresscontains the original untrusted input. If an attacker passes a string with newline characters (\n), they can inject arbitrary logs or forge log entries.🎯 Impact: An attacker could forge log entries to hide malicious activity or trick log parsing systems.
🔧 Fix: Wrapped
str(e)inrepr()inside thelogging.errorcall to safely escape newline characters and securely log the error without evaluating control characters.✅ Verification: Verified by throwing a mocked
